Producers, musicians, MCs and DJs, take note. The Red Bull Music Academy is a musical workshop that travels the world, and the next edition will touch down in one of the world’s greatest cities: London. Somewhere in the heart of that sprawling metropolis, a fantastic complex full of studios and instruments will be built, where the most original and creative minds in music will come together in February and March 2010 to share ideas and work on tunes. Musical legends as well as brand new talents will take the inspiration they gain there and run with it, performing every night at showcases in the best vibe-filled venues London has to offer.

100 Local Workshop Sessions are currently being held in 45 countries until July 27 th, 2009. Each Local Workshop Session is attended by anywhere from 20 to 200 up and coming music makers, who get the rare chance to exchange inspiration with and learn from a renowned musical pioneer.

The Red Bull Music Academy Infosessions land in Dubai, on the 3 rd of July at The Shelter (www.shelter.ae) from 3 till 6 pm.

The gig will be held at Alpha club in Dubai. Marco will be playing between 11pm and 1am and Zinc from 1 am till 3 am

For over ten years now, each new Academy has explored the local musical geography, and chased the most interesting rhythmic threads across space and time. As well as studio time, there are lecture sessions where participants get to hear the answer to every music-related question they ever wanted to ask. The Academy’s renowned guest lecturers have in previous years included Brazilian national icon and tropicalia ambassador Gilberto Gil; hip hop's underground king & No. 1 Southern rapper, Bun B; MPC-architect and inventor of the first digital drum machine, Roger Linn; and French 'Ed Banger' party-starter DJ Mehdi. Check the Academy website for a full list of around 500 music makers who’ve graced the Academy’s lecture room and studios.
