Dubai, UAE – 2014 marks the seventh edition of Dubai’s largest food, drink and entertainment event, featuring new celebrity chefs, great new experience concepts and superb entertainment.  Held from March 13-15 at the Amphitheatre - Dubai Media City, the Taste of Dubai 2014 will bring a close to the month-long Dubai Food Festival with a bang.

This year, two renowned celebrity chefs are headlining Taste of Dubai 2014 as a fresh palate to the widely popular and highly-anticipated festival. International baking star Eric Lanlard and multi-Michelin award winning French chef Jean-Christophe Novelli will be, ready to whisk you away with their signature dishes.  Also joining the cast are three celebrity Food Network Channel stars – Reza Mahammad, Jenny Morris and  Siba Mtongana, who are flying down to interact with the audience and share their extensive food knowledge.

In total, there are 14 new restaurants taking part, giving food lovers the chance to test their latest menus. These include the finest food from The Shangri La, Fairmont The Palm, Ritz Carlton DIFC and The Palace Hotel Downtown.

A total of 82 new signature dishes will be showcased at the festival this year, making Taste of Dubai the UAE’s only food festival that takes you on a culinary journey like none other. From the Americas to Far East Asia, the around-the-world journey includes a total of 180 signature dishes from the city’s finest chefs representing all continents.

There is added entertainment this time around, with participants such as Café Habana giving you a slice of the Caribbean by partnering up with Bacardi to create a one-of-a-kind pop-up bar and restaurant called "Little Cuba". The funky attraction will include a mouth-watering array of dishes and a Mojito Bar serving up true Latino hospitality. Surrounded by DJ’s and live performances, from bongo players to dancers, it’s a must-visit at Taste of Dubai this year.

As a great aftertaste to all the food on offer, the evening entertainment is set to keep the atmosphere buzzing all night. Performances over the festival weekend include international signing sensation, Adrienne, over from the USA.  After travelling the world and collaborating with writers and producers creating Jazz, Soul and R&B music, Aminu will be there to get you on your feet. Additional performances include classic pop and rock music band, Da Kingz Band and a later set from renowned artist, DJ Amit.

Holding true to something for everyone, the children’s section is bigger and better than any previous year. Lined-up are some great activities to excite and keep them more than entertained! Greeted into the area by Minnie and Mickey Mouse, they are treated to special Zumba Beats dancing with a qualified fitness instructor, or a chance to shake it up with hip-hop dance lessons on a stage.

Adding a little adventure to the culinary event are the competition prizes, which are bigger and better than ever. With the purchase of a standard ticket to Taste of Dubai this year, visitors automatically enter a draw to win a VIP trip to Taste of London, including return airfares, luxury stay at London’s Le Meridien Piccadilly, dinner at Reza Mohammed’s restaurant ‘The Star of India’ and a shopping experience at Marks & Spencer.

This year will also see the introduction of an all-new category of tickets – Platinum tickets to Taste of Dubai 2014.
