International brasserie celebrates the world of wine, cheese, port & charcuterie as it launches new Wednesday night offer

Admittedly, cheese and wine are difficult to tire of, but variety is the spice of life. That’s why elegant international brasserie, The Ivy Dubai, is launching Pass The Port, a new take on the traditional Wednesday night offer beginning this week on 19th February.
Offering diners a refined evening of artisan cheese and fine wine, as well as  unusual delights such as white port and ‘cured pork pebble with hazelnut’, the brand new event at the iconic restaurant will take place between 7 and 9pm and will each month take inspiration from countries or regions across the globe.

Launching in style, guests at the inaugural month of Pass The Port are invited to relinquish their weekday thirst with extraordinary blends and single varietals from the wine-rich lands of Australia. Explore favourites from Down Under such as The Custodian Grenache or La Boheme Pinot Gris & Friends, accompanied by a variety of cheeses including truffled Brillat-Savarin, as well as delicious cured meats.

Taking inspiration from old British naval folklore about ‘passing the port to the left’, the evening will showcase the best examples the region has to offer of wine, port, cheese and charcuterie: how could a Wednesday evening improve any further? Starting at AED 175 for a flight of eight glasses of port and wine with a selection of cheeses and cured meats, the restaurant is also offering an unlimited feast for those simply wanting more – all for AED 275.

So get your passport ready for Pass The Port as the finest ports and cheeses from destinations including Burgundy, France and Mendoza, Argentina, are on the horizon at The Ivy for the next few months.
