Punchline Comedy Club announces its all Irish line-up for St Patrick’s Day Celebrations

Dubai, Sunday 19th January 2014: The biggest celebration of Ireland and all things Irish will kick off very soon, inviting the whole world to get involved with an emerald green merry cheer! There is no better or more apt way of enjoying St Patrick’s Day than with a lot of laughter. So, how about an entirely Irish line-up of the best of Ireland’s comedians to get the party started?

Punchline Comedy Club is proud to be starting the ‘green’ celebrations early and will be kicking off its Middle East Tour at the end of February, and then go into March. Having enthralled audiences all over the world, Punchline is renowned for hosting the best of international comedy and all eyes will be on the talent of the Irish this time round!

Wishing the best of Irish luck and ensuring a ‘pot of gold’ laughs, the Punchline Comedy Club welcomes professional comedians: Chris Kent, Colm McDonnell, and Andrew Stanley.

Chris Kent is the winner of the Comedy Smackdown at the Galway Comedy Festival 2010 and of the Bulmers Nuttin’ But Funny Competition in 2009, making him one of Ireland’s most rapidly rising stars. As well as being a regular MC at Cork’s City Limits Comedy Club, Chris has gigged all over Ireland with PJ Gallagher, Ardal O’Hanlon and Colin Murphy, to name a few. His sharp style draws on his own everyday life and his ability to laugh at himself definitely makes him one to watch.

Born storyteller with cutting edge stand-up, Colm McDonnell, is a diminutive Irishman who has made people laugh worldwide. His TV credits are numerous, including Comedy Centrals, “The World Stands up”, and more recently RTE's critically acclaimed shows, “Under The Influence” and “Irish Pictorial Weekly”. His comedy festival appearances include The Kilkenny Cat Laughs, The Edinburgh and Adelaide Comedy Festivals and many more. Colm is no stranger to entertaining audiences in the UK either, having supported Scotsman Kevin Bridges on his 2010 tour of the UK and Ireland.

Andrew Stanley is effervescent, upbeat and bursting with playful energy. He has performed worldwide at the Montreal, New Zealand, numerous Australian and Edinburgh comedy festivals, and has become a regular fixture on the Kilkenny Cat Laughs calendar. Andrew’s high energy and quick wit keep audiences thoroughly amused. His Edinburgh late night entertainment shows, “Andrew Stanley’s Comedy Mish Mash” and “On Sale Now”, received endless rave reviews.
